This is a study of Mrs. Nirmala Sahu (husband Satyanarayan Sahu), who was expelled from her home by her husband only on the basis of some doubt. This is the story of the struggle of this woman, after being homeless from her husband’s house, she came to stay at her father’s house where the social people taunted her and the higher class people called the meeting of the society and the decision was taken to outcast their family because women’s proper place is in husbands home and she has mistrusted her husband and the victim’s father should not give her shelter.
After this, the sister-in-law of Nirmala, who is a resident of village Hirri and a member of the Samkhi Cooperative Society, told Sakhi’s director Smt. Hemlata Sahu about this incident and it was later intervened by her. Nirmala’s case was registered by her in Kutumb Court Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) under domestic violence and proper action was taken which resulted in the present order of Rs. 3000 under the right of 125 maintenance for the Nirmala’s husband. Today, Nirmala Sahu is moving towards her goal working under the Sakhi Cooperative Society.

District- Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh)
Ishwari Bhosle, a resident of village Sargava, is the mother of 5 children, Ishwari is being harassed by her mother-in-law as well as her husband ever since she came to her in-laws by marrying her husband. Both husband and wife are laborers. The wife was forced to work even after breaking her leg, After meeting the victim Smt Hemlata Sahu ji, took up her case was also registered in Kutumb Court Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh) under domestic violence. She is receiving training in Sakhi Cooperative Society.
3.Name- Mrs. Laxmin Dahria
Village – Kawardha
This is a study, Mrs. Laxmin Dahria, age 28, who lives in Kawardha with her husband Mr. Skeikh Dahria’s and in-laws. Her marriage has taken place before 2 years, from Kawardha, Mrs. Laxmin Bai was brought to her maternal home in Sindhi Colony, Bilaspur.
After coming to Bilaspur, Mrs. Lakshmin Bai came to MSKPPm Bilaspur. and requested to help her to face torture against husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law which is as follows – she gave her written consent which is as
under My husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law asking dowry of a motor cycle and 50,000.00 rupees from the time I was pregnant. And used to say that if you do not bring money, then the door of this house will be closed for you forever, even if I lived in that house even in that state of pregnancy. I used to think that when my child is born, my husband’s in-laws behavior will improve, but after the birth of a baby girl my husband often used to come home after drinking the liquor, started smearing profanity and started assaulting her. I will marry another women and kick me out of the house.
MSKPP asked Mrs. Lakshmin Bai what she wanted from us, then she said that if my husband promises to behave properly and ready to look after me and my child i am ready to live with him.A Meeting was organised, where her husband, mother-in-law, father-in-law came for the meeting. On being asked by the counselor of MSKPP, the husband agreed that he something drinks liquor due to work pressure and due to short temper argument and fight happens.The father-in-law said that their health is not well and their daughter in law Mrs. Lakshmin Bai threats them that she will go away to her fathers home. They agreed that they want to keep peace and will look after their daughter in law.
Matter was taken to court to formalise the decision where the judge asked the appealant about her decision. Mrs Lakshmin Bai said that she wants to go her husbands home.Then after proper documentation the court and MSKPP under section -12 of Domestic violence Act taking note of their decision and their solemnization that they will not fight and respect each other. In this way Mrs. Laxmin Dahria and Mr. Sheikh Dahria home was settled by MSKPP.
